Technology Philosophy

Technology is a tool that can be used to help facilitate instruction and student learning. In the 21st century, it is vital that all students become efficient users of technology. In the lower elementary school, our focus is on basic technology literacy. As students advance in school, the focus shifts to fluid typing and higher level research skills.

At Our Savior teachers use various forms of technology throughout the day to enhance classroom learning. For example, an elementary teacher might utilize iPads at a listening center or as a way to practice math fact fluency. Middle school students might use SmartBoards for project presentations or do research on a laptop. Our overall goal is to equip students with the skills necessary to become successful in a world of changing technology.
